UniMAP Empowers Global Talent Development Through EUREKA Project under SPINAKER Program with Lodz University of Technology, Poland

Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is honoured to be a part as a partner university in the EUREKA Project, led by Lodz University of Technology (TUL), Poland. The project has been awarded nearly RM1,024,349.00 under the NAWA SPINAKER Program, aimed at enhancing the quality of international education through intensive short-term academic exchanges.

The program theme titled "Global Challenges, Local Solutions: Shaping Future Leaders through Knowledge and Innovation," the project introduces a blended learning program, “The Europe Ready Challenge,” that will bring together 60 students which covers 15 students from Poland and 45 international students, including 10 students from UniMAP.

UniMAP is one of three Asian partners, alongside universities from India and Papua New Guinea. UniMAP students will engage in 150 hours of interdisciplinary learning for a 3-week on-site experience in Lodz, Poland. Students will visit companies, identify challenges faced by entrepreneurs, working in interdisciplinary teams and to propose ready-to-implement solutions. This will allow them to gain practical skills and professional experience through the Challenge-Based Learning method.  This program is a part of strengthening key Industry 5.0 skills like teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and intercultural communication.

Students will gain practical experience, earn micro-credentials, and build a globally competitive portfolio in preparing them to thrive in a fast-evolving job market and contribute to real-world innovation. This program is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr Dewi Suriyani Che Halin, Assoc. Prof. Ir Dr Mohd Arif Anuar Mohd Salleh and Dr Nur Izzati Muhammad Nadzri from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology UniMAP.
