Admission Guide for the 2025 Collaborative Program between Universiti Malaysia Perlis and Henan Quality Institute in Food Inspection and Testing Technology
1. Program Introduction
This program is jointly developed by Universiti Malaysia Perlis and Henan Quality Institute. It is included in the enrollment plan for Chinese higher vocational education institutions and has a duration of three years. The curriculum is designed to align closely with the needs of the food inspection and testing industry, integrating advanced educational concepts and high-quality teaching resources from both institutions. Through systematic learning and hands-on training, the program aims to equip students with the necessary skills to work in food inspection and testing roles both in Malaysia and internationally.
2. Enrollment Plan
The program plans to enroll 150 students in 2025. 
3. Application Requirements
  • Applicants must meet the registration requirements for the 2025 National College Entrance Examination and be officially registered for that year’s exam.
  • Applicants must be in good physical health and comply with the relevant requirements outlined in the Guiding Opinions on Physical Examination for Enrollment in Ordinary Higher Education Institutions.
  • Applicants should have a strong interest in food inspection and testing technology and aspire to build a career in this field.
4. Application Process
Applicants must log in to the designated application system of the Henan Provincial Education Examination Institute within the specified period and select the Food Inspection and Testing Technology (Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education) program at Henan Quality Institute. 5. Training Mode
  • Curriculum: The curriculum is designed based on the demands of the food inspection and testing industry and includes core courses such as food chemistry, food microbiology, food analysis and inspection, and food quality control. Advanced courses and teaching methods from Universiti Malaysia Perlis are incorporated to enhance students’ practical skills and innovative thinking.
  • Practical Training: Leveraging the practical teaching resources of both Henan Quality Institute and Universiti Malaysia Perlis, the program provides students with extensive hands-on opportunities. Students will have the chance to intern and train in food enterprises and testing institutions in both China and Malaysia, combining theoretical learning with practical experience.
  • Teaching Staff: The program is supported by a team of highly qualified faculty members from both institutions, including industry experts with extensive teaching and practical experience, ensuring high-quality instruction and guidance.
  • International Exchange: Students will have opportunities to participate in international exchange activities organized by Universiti Malaysia Perlis, including academic lectures, cultural exchange programs, and short-term study visits. These activities aim to broaden students' global perspectives and improve cross-cultural communication skills.
6. Graduation and Career Prospects
  • Graduation Requirements: Students who complete the program and pass all required assessments will be awarded a nationally recognized diploma from Henan Quality Institute.
  • Career Opportunities: Graduates can pursue careers in food production and processing companies, food and drug inspection and regulatory agencies, hospital nutrition departments, and other relevant organizations. They may work in areas such as food inspection and testing, quality control, product development, and marketing.
  • Further Studies: Upon completing the three-year program at Henan Quality Institute and obtaining their graduation certificate, students will have the opportunity to continue their undergraduate studies at Universiti Malaysia Perlis. Those who meet the graduation requirements will be awarded a bachelor’s degree.

The cooperative education program in Food Inspection and Testing Technology, jointly developed by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and Henan Quality Institute, is now open for enrollment and is scheduled to officially commence in September this year.

This collaborative program aims to cultivate high-quality professionals in the field of food inspection by leveraging cross-border academic exchange and integrating the high-quality teaching resources of both institutions.

Focusing on professional standards, practical training, and international perspective, the curriculum is tailored to meet the practical demands of the food inspection and testing industry. It provides strong support for students to engage in related careers in Malaysia and globally through systematic study and hands-on experience.
