2. Please be informed that Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE) is going to organize a talk with the title “Nanomaterials for Health and Environmental Applications”. The details are as follows:

Dr Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah (Dr CACA) is currently the Head of the Material Synthesis Lab and Associate Professor of Nanobiophysics at the Advanced Institute of Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She strives to balance her teaching, research, and service obligations at a level that is commensurate with her position. Her research focuses on the interface between nanotechnology and biology. She also has an exceptional ability at the interface between material science (nanotechnology), agricultural science and biotechnology will be very important in the 21st century both scientifically and economically. She developed herself into an independent researcher who would bring new papers to meetings. She serves as the supervisor of 11 postgraduate candidates as main supervisor and published papers in top-tier reputable international journals. As project leader, she received about RM500,000 in total research funding. She served as international conference ambassador, technical program committee, editorial board member and reviewer for several journals. She frequently invited as local and international speakers for seminars, workshops, and conferences. She was awarded several awards, such as the Young Educator Award, the Visiting Fellowship at Universitas Airlangga, the ACP lectureship award and the Global Asian Women2Win. She also involved in various youth and community projects (mobility and science programme) locally and internationally. As she became more involved in science, she increasingly felt that the academic community had a duty to participate in matters of public concern research, openness to innovative ideas, and devotion to the advancement of others. As an excellent researcher, she currently led the NANOTEDD (www.nanotedd.com) research group which was formed to initiate and encourage research activities. Her research efforts to date have led to publication of more than 40 refereed papers and more than 20 presentations of her research at national and international levels.
