Prof. Ir. Dr. Ismail Bin Musirin obtained Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons) in 1990 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, MSc Pulsed Power Technology in 1992 from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia in 2005. He is currently a Professor of Power System at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM. He has been the Research Grants Panel for MOHE – FRGS, PRGS, TRGS, LRGS, FRGS-MRSA, YUTP and Kazakhstan Ministry of Security. He has authored and co-authored 2 books, over 330 papers in international journals and indexed conferences. He is very fortunate to be the 2nd top author in Scopus indexed publication in the whole of UiTM. He has delivered keynote speeches at Cambridge University, United Kingdom, Dubai, Korea and Malaysia. He is currently a Visiting Professor at UTHM Batu Pahat and UTHM Pagoh, External Examiner for MSc Program in UMP and UniMAP, and Visiting Professor and External Examiner for bachelor’s degree Programmes at Lim Kok Wing University and Lincoln University. He was also experienced as External Examiner for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at UniMAP and UMP. His research interest includes artificial intelligence, optimization techniques, power system analysis, renewable energy, distributed generation and power system stability.
