Quality Policy

Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is committed to managing high-quality academic programmes to produce individuals and human capital capable of meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

UniMAP is determined to implement academic management in a professional, efficient, and effective manner by prioritising continuous improvement to ensure UniMAP remains competitive at the international level.


Quality Objective

UniMAP is committed to achieving the following:


Quality Objective 1

Graduates obtaining a CGPA of 3.00 and above in each convocation:
- 60% for Engineering Programmes
- 60% for Engineering Technology Programmes
- 90% for Technology Programmes
- 90% for Communication and Business Programmes
- 60% for Diploma in Engineering Programmes


Quality Objective 2

80% of lecturers possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) qualification or an equivalent qualification.


Quality Objective 3

Ratio of academic staff to undergraduate students:
- 1:20 for Engineering Programmes
- 1:20 for Engineering Technology Programmes
- 1:15 for Technology Programmes
- 1:25 for Business Programmes
- 1:25 for Communication Programmes (Theory)
- 1:15 for Communication Programmes (Practical)


Quality Objective 4

Customer Satisfaction Level annually:
- Student Satisfaction: 80%
- Staff Satisfaction: 85%


Quality Objective 5

60% of academic staff actively involved as Principal Investigators in research projects.
