The office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Internationalisation) is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising all academic matters. In general, it is responsible for the establishment of school of engineering studies and centre for academic enhancement in UniMAP. Specifically, its responsibilities cover the following aspects:
- Development of new academic programmes
- Enhancement of curriculum
- Academic programmes
- Academic quality assurance
- Supervision of the development of academic infrastructure
- Post graduate, graduate and diploma studies
- Internationalisation
- Human resource (academic)
- Supervision and registration of new intakes (students)
- Academic procedures
- Supervision of intakes of external experts (Academic)
- Industrial training
- Planning of academic staff training programmes
- Supervision of ICT applications (academic)
- Monitoring of general and specific engineering infrastructure
This Department is helmed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Internationalisation) and is assisted by the Dean of Academic Affairs and the Dean of International Affairs. In it there are several academic schools and centres which are responsible for enhancing academic matters. These schools and centres will report, on regular basis, to the Vice Chancellor and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Internationalisation). They are:
