ICT Centre was established to support information, communication and telecommunication needs of the university's administration and academic functions

The ICT Centre key roles are :

• To provide facilities to support education activities, research and administration.

• To develop and maintain integrated university system.

• To develop and maintain campus network communication system.

• To provide service consultancy in information technology and communication.

To effectively execute the role mentioned above, ICT Centre is structured into sub unit of:

1. Administration
   Involve in daily work flow to manage official department administration.

2. System Development and Planning

   • Integrated University Systems (IUS-Student)

     Integrated University Systems (IUS-Student) is a comprehensive administrative system for an education institution. IUS-Student is a fully web-based application structured and written based on latest technology of Java programming language and object-oriented model. The architecture of the application is designed on a three-tier architecture model which makes the system easy to customize and expand to meet future learning institution requirement.

     Complete with various integration options using application programming interface (APIs), IUS-Student easily integrates and shared information between the Student Online Offer Letter System that implemented in UniMAP. The integration also provides tight link between IUS-Student and Student Online Result System that allows seamless sharing of data throughout the Internet. Thus, IUS-Student is the complete administrative system, designed with the right multi-tier architecture and objected-oriented approach using latest Internet and Java technology.

     Currently, IUS-Student consists of the following modules:

     • Student Selection Module

     • Admission Module

     • Staff Profile Module

     • Student Profile Module

     • Course Management Module

     • Registration Module

     • Unit Exemption Module

     IUS-Staff was developed by ICT staff on year 2002 .This web based system development were visualized consistent to department's vision and objective.

     IUS-Staff(Staff Profile) module is the first module was developed under ICT department requesting from Registrar department based on Registrar's requirement which is system needs to manage staff information online in more efficient way. Besides, IUS-Staff presents more information of UniMAP's staff such as profile staff, academic qualification, past and present job, attended training, parent profile, family profile, awar.
