The School of Microelectronic Engineering, one of the first two schools in UNIMAP, started operation in April 2002. UNIMAP’s philosophy emphasises the importance of integration between knowledge and technical practice. Based on this philosophy, the curriculum of each programme offered by the School of Microelectronic Engineering have been designed to:
- Meet the needs of the industry
- Fulfill the requirement of professional bodies such as the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
- Assure the balance of theoretical and practical aspects of engineering knowledge
- Ensure the contents of the courses are updated
The school offers the following programmes:
1. Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Microelectronic Engineering)
2. Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Electronic Engineering)
3. Diploma in Engineering (Microelectronic Engineering)
