• UniMAP believes that hard work and dedication alone are not enough to ensure excellence. There has to be a concerted and systematic effort in integrating, timing, and aligning all the hard work performed by UniMAP staff, so as to optimise the fruits of the labour. This is best done through a proper strategic planning initiative.

• Since its inception in June, 2002, UniMAP has invested much in building up its strategic planning initiative. Full fledged off-campus strategic planning workshops – involving the University’s top management as well as its second-tier managers -- are conducted at least twice a year.

• In addition, every few weeks, top management informally discusses the progress and challenges associated with achieving the goals stipulated in the University’s strategic plan.
