As UniMAP moves steadily towards the achievement of its many ambitious plans, many milestones have already been fulfilled. From two initial engineering undergraduate programmes (Microelectronic Engineering and Computer Engineering) and 114 pioneer students, UniMAP now boasts 15 degree programmes, 6 diploma programmes, and approximately 3000 students, including more thyan 90 postgraduates (of which more than 15 are international students) . In addition, new programmes are continuously being added into its list of offerings.
UniMAP aims to have a student population of not more than 10 000 people by 2010. As it is, each academic programme is set to take in 70 students only, whilst the number of student intake for diploma level offerings is placed at 60 per batch. This number has been agreed upon after taking into consideration the physical capacity of the current setup. In addition, the University has targeted the following critical ratios that will be referred to over and over again in its human resource decision-making processes.
